Bringing the D-MAX BLADE from concept to reality, Isuzu UTE has turned to Walkinshaw Automotive Group to capitalise on their 40-years of local automotive manufacturing experience to enhance the D-MAX into the D-MAX BLADE. Engineered and tested locally by way of a comprehensive 100,000km durability testing program in Melbourne and Outback Australia, watch the journey to build a ute specifically for Australian conditions and lifestyles come to life.

Wheels & Tyres

Designed for superior traction and stability, the D-MAX BLADE comes fitted with Australian-designed, flow-formed 17" alloy wheels wrapped with 275/65R17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT all-terrain tyres. These tyres improve the vehicle's ride on and off-road and have a triple-ply sidewall for puncture resistance.

Chassis & Suspension

At the centre of the new suspension components for the D-MAX BLADE are the 35mm MTV twin-tube dampers, which alongside the larger wheel and tyre package give the BLADE greater chassis control and off-road capability, without compromising 3.5T+ towing.

Recovery Points & Bash Plate

The D-MAX BLADE is built to go further than ever before, and sometimes, that means you get yourself into ‘sticky’ situations. The reinforced single-piece recovery point frame with a load rating of 8-tonnes helps you get unstuck when you’ve found the limit, while the 3mm-thick steel bash plate protects vital components during each adventure.

Terrain Command

Switch between 2WD-high and 4WD-high on the fly at speed of up to 100km/h. When the adventure gets tough, select 4WD-low for increased traction control.

Rough Terrain Mode

Rough Terrain Mode works alongside the rear diff-lock to provide a new lease on traction that maximises drivability in technical, slippery and rough conditions.

Rear Differential Lock

To get you out of the toughest spots, The D-MAX BLADE comes standard with a rear differential lock. If you’re on a slippery, uneven surface with the rear wheels spinning, the rear differential lock works to give you the extra traction and control needed to keep moving.

While a master of the off-road, the D-MAX BLADE is still made to tow and make light work of a boat, a caravan or a trailer. With 3.5T+ towing, thanks to the 3.0L Isuzu turbo-diesel engine's impressive 450Nm of torque, the D-MAX BLADE gives you the ability to tow pretty much anything you can throw at it.
